Proposed Speed Limit Change - Nichols Point

Mildura Rural City Council is seeking public feedback regarding a proposed change in the speed limit for areas of Nichols Point.

The areas under consideration include Eleventh Street, Cureton Avenue, Ginquam Avenue, Belar Avenue and Dewry Avenue. Several options are being considered, with nearby residents encouraged to complete the short survey below to have their say.

Background

The proposed change in speed limit follows resident concerns, with Council receiving reports of near misses and safety issues for Belar Avenue and Eleventh Street motorists and pedestrians.

Following these reports Council has carried out a safety assessment and is planning to apply to the relevant minister through the Department of Transport & Planning to reduce the speed limit as per the below plan.
