About the Day

The Emergency Services Day will showcase local Emergency Services and the variety of roles available for either a career, or volunteer opportunity.

Education and resources available for community to access in an emergency will be provided, with the objective to building a better prepared and more resilient community.

Agencies in attendance and activities on the day;

  • Victoria Police and NSW Police – Displaying a full range of policing vehicles
  • Fire Rescue Victoria- Community Safety display, Remote Piloted Aircraft systems ( weather permitting)
  • Country Fire Authority – Interactive firefighting vehicle equipment display
  • Ambulance Victoria – Medical information, career guidance and vehicle tour
  • Forest Fire Management Victoria – Vehicle and equipment display
  • Emergency Recovery Victoria – Emergency Services App demonstration
  • Victoria State Emergency Services – Jaws of life demonstration, SES vehicle display
  • Sunraysia Mallee Ethnic Communities Council – Emergency Food Relief van display, and quiz on food wastage
  • Australian Red Cross – Safety phone app demonstration, REDI plan templates and assistance to develop one, quiz and prizes
  • Mildura Life Saving Club – Rescue boat on display
  • Community RoadSafe Mildura – Bus, Car, walking safety as well as bike education
  • Mildura Rural City Council – Public Safety information
  • Army Reserves – G-Wagon, 40 Meter truck, Inflatable obstacle course

All who attend will receive a complimentary REDIbag at the arrival gate. Council will also provide students with an event “passport”, that will be marked off at each of the stands that they visit.

Completed passports will go into a draw to win one of 10 x $50 Rebel sports vouchers.
