Background

How We Engaged

Community and stakeholder involvement played a vital role in shaping this draft plan and will remain essential in delivering its outcomes. With support from Mildura Rural City Council, the Irymple Progress Association invited community feedback from 18 August - 10 October 2025, through online and paper surveys, drop-in conversations, workshops, and Council’s Your Say website. More than 200 contributions were received, helping us understand what matters most to the community and guiding the priorities and projects included in the 2026 – 2030 Community Plan.

The voices of young people were an essential part of the consultation process. Their ideas, concerns and hopes for Irymple’s future helped guide several priorities and actions. Including youth perspectives ensures the plan reflects the needs of all generations and supports a community where young people feel valued, heard and involved.
