Mildura Rural City Council’s Draft Budget for the 2022-23 Financial Year focuses on continuing to deliver for our community. Our proposed Budget sets out approximately $154.36 million in expenditure. Much of this is committed to funding community services, facilities and infrastructure to support local residents and regional growth in line with our 2021-25 Council Plan. Our Draft Budget has been prepared based on the feedback and goals outlines in the Imagine 2040 Community Vision and 2021-25 Council Plan.

Rates

In 2022-23 Rates are proposed to increase by 1.75% in line with the State Government’s Rate Capping policy. Council has worked to cut the amount by which rates increase each year to reduce the burden on property owners. It is anticipated Council will collect a total of $81.42 million through municipal rates, including waste charges.
