Mildura Rural City Council has successfully obtained funding through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure phase 4 program to remove and replace the existing toilet blocks situated at number 3 oval in Quandong Park, Red Cliffs.

The project scope includes:

  • The replacement of the existing facilities with a single toilet block with one unisex accessible toilet, one male ambulant and one female ambulant
  • The demolition of the existing male and female brick buildings

Works will commence in January 2025, with expected completion of March 2025.

The existing toilet blocks will remain accessible while construction of the new block takes place.

Demolition of the old brick buildings will occur once the new toilet block is completed, and open to the public.

The Mildura Public Toilet Strategy 2019 -2029 has an established vision for public toilets that is consistent with Council’s aspiration to be ‘the most liveable, people-friendly community in Australia’. The Strategy is structured around four overarching themes: network distribution, design, accessibility and management

The vision for public toilets in the municipality is: Council will provide high quality public toilets that are clean, safe and cater to the needs of all residents, workers and visitors to the Rural City of Mildura.
