Working together to make our region more liveable and people friendly.

Council is inviting your feedback as we move ahead towards achieving our community vision for 2040

Can you believe it’s been three years since we came together to create our Community Vision

The Community Vision 2021-2040 document provides a long-term roadmap for the whole of community, Council and other levels of government to partner together and create a future that enhances our region as a great place to live, work, play and visit. It highlights what the community values most and sets out long-term aspirations and key priorities.

While Council plays a key role, we can't deliver the vision alone. All local organisations and the wider community – including business groups, not-for-profits and service providers – can be guided by the vision to help us all work towards the shared goals for our region.

Community Vision Themes

Shaped by the feedback of more than 2,000 Mildura Rural City Council residents, the Community Vision gives us a clear picture of what you would the region to look and feel like in 2040.

Over the past three years Council has used the Community Vision to guide Council's strategic planning and decision making, in particular, the four-year Council Plan, a Financial Plan, Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan and an Asset Plan.

Its time now to check in on the Vision, to ensure it still reflects our community priorities.

What we hear will help shape the development of next Council Plan 2025-2029.
